Day 1: Ha Noi (D)

Pick up at the airport and drive to hotel to enjoy a welcome dinner. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ha Noi (B, L, D)

Take a whole day city tour to visit the Ho Chi Minh complex and the Temple of Literature, then stop for lunch. Visit the Ethnology Museum, West Lake area (Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda), Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Spend one hour to travel around the Ancient city to see the daily Life of Ha Noi people and enjoy the Water Puppet show at night. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 3: Ha Noi – Ha Long – Sa Pa (B, L, D)

Depart to Ha Long and take a cruise to visit the spectacular Heaven Palace cave, crammed with stalactites and stalagmites including a seafood lunch on board. Swim in the bay if the weather permits. Return to Ha Noi and take a night train to Sa Pa. Overnight on train.

Day 4: Sa Pa (B, L, D)

Arrive at Lao Cai Railway station and take a car to the hotel. Relax and then leave Sa Pa for trekking to the Muong Hoa River and Black H’mong village Laochai, one of the biggest minority groups in the Sa Pa. Continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit the Zay people to discover over 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam and their women who still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green colour. The Zay houses are build in wood and bamboo with clay floor. Overnight with local family.

Day 5: Sa Pa – Ha Noi (B, L, D)

Visit the Red Dao people at Giang Ta Chai after breakfast and pass to the rice fields, trek up to Su Pan and take a jeep back to Sa Pa then drive back to Lao Cai to catch the night train to Ha Noi. Overnight on train.

Day 6: Ha Noi – Dong Hoi (B, D)

Free leisure and shopping time in the capital until we take the train to Dong Hoi for the DMZ tour (local traditional tour).

Day 7: Dong Hoi – Hue (B, L, D)

Enjoy breakfast upon arrival and drive by car to visit Vinh Moc Tunnel, Ben Hai river and Hien Luong Bridge. Arrive in Hue and the free leisure in the city. Overnight in Hue.

Day 8: Hue (B, L, D)

Take a dragon boat cruise up the Perfume river, stopping along the way at the Thien Mu Pagoda, Royal Tombs of the Nguyen Emperors. The Nguyen dynasty ruled Vietnam from 1802 until 1945 and several of its most prominent Emperors are buried in the surrounding countryside. Visit the ancient walled Citadel containing the former Imperial Palace after lunch. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue – Hoi An (B, L, D)

Breakfast at the hotel and take journey to Hoi An by air-conditioned bus. Along the way though we will first stop at Lang Co beach, for a coffee break or other refreshments, then onto the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach and south over Da Nang city. Next stop at the Cham Museum, the famed Da Nang Beach, and Marble Mountains. Check in upon arrival at Hoi An and take time for free shopping around the ancient city. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An (B, L, D)

Take a City tour in Hoi An, a small, pleasant town where rare wooden architecture remains. There are many delights in this tranquil town, some of which are the famous Japanese covered bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tam Ky House, the Ong Pagoda and the vibrant market. Visit many low tiled houses scattered along the small streets and assembly halls, which reflect the town’s multi-cultural past. Free in the afternoon for leisure or take part in Vietnamese Demonstration cooking class (your own cost). Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)

Breakfast at the hotel and catch the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Check in and take a rest till afternoon for a half day city tour to the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace. Enjoy a water puppet show. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)

Take the bus to Cu Chi after breakfast to see short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters. Enjoy a local lunch and then continue to discover tunnels in Cu Chi. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L, D)

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Caibe, well-known for it's floating market. Board a private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. Stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'dried Elephant ear fish', before continuing the visit at the tributaries and canals of the delta. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 14: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L ,D)

Start day with a boat cruise on sparking streams along the endless waterway of Mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang floating market where there are hundreds of boats loaded with fruits, vegetables and fish jostling for trade, visit the lush orchards and enjoy delicious tropical fruits. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure (B)

Breakfast and then free leisure till departure. End of service.
